If it smells it really should be replaced for safety - most of the time it goes unnoticed for a few days and will start stinking. If there is no smell just chuck some dry playsand in and mix until it's good. :)

You'd have known if it was a soupy mess when you put it in - it wouldn't have gotten that bad without some spillage somewhere!

Bad smelling sand and e.e. are right up there with dead crabs..ewww! Sand can get black mold to!
