I hear those too but some nights she gets crazy. Or when they shell shop against the glass so it clicks the whole 5 mins while they decide, haha got to love the little noise makers of the night

The worst thing though is when you look in the tank and they are just sat there doing nothing and you know they are plotting something :hlol:

The 4ft monster is born...

They're like, you can save up for a TV or computer and I'm like well the crabs need more stuff still and my parents just stare at me like somethings wrong haha
Maybe you guys can gently remind your parents that there are worse ways to spend your money, and far worse things a 14 year old could potentially get into-- and that this hobby is at least an educational and productive way to spend your time. ;) haha (I promise I'm not a creeper-- just looked at your ages in your profile real quick out of curiousity, lol).

In all seriousness though, I don't think I can see myself being so interested in something like this when I was that age-- I think it's awesome. Image

Well I have always loved animals and once made friends with a humming bird and she allowed me to hang out next to her nest. Now I'm old enough to make money I jumped at the opportunity when my parents gave me the ok as long as I paid for it all. Also how do you change the age in the profile, I will be 15 this May and can't seem to change it?

Happy early birthday!, haha how funny, it must be wierd for the adult crabbers to see us younger ones on here chit chating about our crabbies. I always feel I'm too young to care for something so involving but with you here and others I realize I'm not alone

This. :) My son and I spend a lot of time sitting on beanbags in front of the tank, we call it "Crab T.V." and it's more educational than cartoons, LOL.

And also, I love how you used the cork bark to create a sort of terrace with an area of deeper sub! I might have to borrow that idea!

Haha! My little brother is 5 and if I see a crab out and try to show him he looks, but then jumps/dances/yells/waves his arms, etc. and whatever crab is out tails it back to a hidey hole.
To be fair he doesn't do it intentionally to scare them, lol-- he's pretty much always jumping/dancing/yelling/wiggling regardless of what he's doing. Image

OMG, it's wonderful! I swear crabbers around the world can read my mind, this is exactly what I planned when I set up my current tank!

LOL I kind of wanted an area section off of eco earth then a mix of sand and eco then a beach area :) I have added a few more fake plants but it looks pretty much as it did last night

I'm in a hurry to get to my chiropractors appointment so I haven't gone through the comments so I apologize if someone has asked already..
But what are you using for those hidey holes/side seperator? It's very cool!
