HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hi everyone,
so im finally getting a nice brand new tank for my hermies relatively soon. Its going to be about 35 gall cylinder tank- it has amazing height!! and im supper pumped!!! sooo im planning on getting live plants, using ee substrate, and a heating pad for it, plus a low watt heat light and a plant light, i was just wondering what sort of temp and humidity thermometers do you guys use/suggest??? also any ideas for my tank would be great!!! i think i want to have a shell shop net thing i just dont know how to do that, im also going to use some small critter keepers for pools, should i use a bubblier??? how would i maintain the pools??? im going to have a whole bunch of height... i have no idea how to use it- any and all suggestions would be appreciated- thanks everyone!!!!

Question regard pools:
Bubblers... They can be great but not necessary. Mostly they are used to keep the water moving, in turn this helps with boosting the humidity & making sure the water isn't stagnate. Since you will not be using any filter, you will still have to wash it out every time when it gets dirty - around every 2 days, however would go longer than 4 days without a wash - just like a normal bowl.

Since you will have height, all I can say it deep substrate with levels, levels & more levels! Make good use of the vertical space, the crabs will love you for it. Since you want to add plants, it might be worth adding to use air plants - like orchids, broms, tillandsia. That way you still have more space for the crabs to dig & moult in, however will make great use of branches/rocks and other objects. (Plus, if a bromeliad is planted, they have a small root system so easily added to a nice EE level )
