The safest way to clean it is to boil it for 5-10 mins. Then let it air dry.

This log is too big to fit in a pot.

Fill your kitchen sink with very hot water and let it sit in there for 5-10 mins.

I'd rinse it in the sink and if you're worried about chlorine spray it or dunk it in dechlorinated water before putting it back. Just did this today with a bunch of decor.

It's too big to fit in my sink, haha. I could rinse it with hot water and scrub it? And then let it dry?

Yes just use hot water, scrub it and let it air dry to allow the chlorine to evaporate.
