This may be a really stupid question but is it possible to have a salt waterfall? I was thinking about it and saw this cool waterfall on the internet. It has a big pool on the end and is made out of solid resin. Sorry I don't know much about technology.

The problem with saltwater is that the salts crystallize when allowed to dry out. The splashing from the waterfall (and there will be some slight spray) will cause crystals to form all over the area. The salt would also likely kill the pump pretty quickly, as it causes even aquarium safe metals to rust. Freshwater would be a safer use of a waterfall, although the crabs may still track in so much debris that it kills the pump. Mine lasted two months.
