Most recommend a 5:1 ratio :)

I don't bother with exact amounts, and just keep it mostly sand with some cocofiber mixed in.

I do like a half-block of EE to a 50 pound bag of sand.

Like wode: I also do a half to 3/4 block of EE per 50lb bag. Just filled up my tank today!

I only use coconut fiber. I had a sand/ fiber mix before but I felt the sand would get wet and smell funny and the coconut fiber seems cleaner and helps keep the humidity in. IS there anything wrong with only using coconut fiber? (I have a good 8 inches of depth with it in a 29 gallon tank).

Just that it tends to be harder to keep it the right consistancy. It dries out quick and it's easy to flood the bottom since water sinks right through. Using a sand and cocofiber mix is a lot easier, especially for newer crabbers. I've done all EE before, but for me it's more cost effective to use sand and a mix.
