New 4ft terrarium.
Hi today I got a 4x2x2ft terrarium for my 4 hermit crabs which is around 113 gallons so I will post pics soon and need ideas as I was only planning a 3x1 1/2x2ft terrarium so this one is a lot bigger and I thought I will get the biggest I could afford and this was the biggest there as well

I should be able to get pics up tomorrow but may not start sorting it out until next weekend as I have no idea what I want to do as I have an extra 3.5 feet to work with but hey I know I need cork bark to build a super cool climbing frameGoofball2k16 wrote:Can't wait to see pics!

Thanks it is really cool but now my room is full of pets surrounding my bed... and that terrarium alone takes up a ton of spacelandlubber wrote:Congrats on the new tank! It sounds amazing!

Congratulations. I am glad that everything worked out with an enormous, standard tank! ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Thanks and it has sliding doors! So much easier to access than from just the topjclee wrote:Congratulations. I am glad that everything worked out with an enormous, standard tank!

I'm thinking of building a waterfall for the fresh water and getting a tub around about 60x30x15 cm for the salt water but first I actually need to find a tub that size ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Just remember, every inch/cm of surface area lost, the crabs have a smaller area to roam. (Which might mean understocking to reduce aggression). Even though large pools are nice and pretty, they not really functional. After all the crabs probably use it about every hour or so each day, for the entire colony. A 60 x 30 pool is a 1800 cm2 difference in walking space.

Re: New 4ft terrarium.
haha, for now! It's impossible not to upgrade and then go "a few more crabs". Next thing you know, you have 10 crabs plus and need to upgrade again. (Been there done that)
But what you do is up to you, my advice is just a word of warning if you haven't thought about the pros/cons already.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
