Hello! I followed the instructions to calibrate the gauge but fell asleep...is there a max time you should leave it in the bag w the salt? When I woke up this morning it was reading 55 and still is when I got home...is it common for them to be that off?

should be about 5 hours time and it should read about 75.
you gauge may be off, its def possible the gauge is that off
if you have a scew on it you can adjust or assume its about 20 degrees off
and when you see it say 60 you can assume its about 80ish but i wouldn't
feel comfortable doing that. if you can not adjust it i would recommend getting
a new one.

Thanks for your reply...I couldn't find what was described in the instructions and I didn't see a screw either so I'm going to get a digital one...I just never thought it would be that off! :-/ can u calibrate a digital one or are they known to be more accurate?

the hermit crab patch sells a decent one as far as i know prob going to pick one up
