HCA: Hermit Crab Association

When I was feeding the crabs earlier I saw a few little black mites around the food dishes. Sunflower is the only crab up currently but I gave her a check and I didn't find any of the mites on her body or shell. Are they harmless then?

Any pics? If they're like little grains of sand on the food they're harmless but it's good they aren't on your crab!
