By "island" shell he means magpie, we just call them island shells bc it's easier to remember.

I'm rather confused.

That is not a painted shell and it looks mother of pearl lined to me. What is wrong with that? It look fabuluos to me!!

Could you explain this a little clearer?

That's a beautiful shell, and doing a search on the internet, I saw pics of the opening which looks almost oval or d-shaped, but not quite. It appears that both PPs and Es could find it comfortable. I think the crabbie has good taste! [smilie=bigsmile.gif]

Not necesarily bad but my Es have never even touched them. Well, there was one incident where one moved into one, but moved out right way. Nothing wrong with the shell, just not a common shell choice among Es.

idk.. Keep in mind, that is not the shell in question, but it is the type of shell that the original poster was talking about. Hopefully he will give us more details

I have an E who chose a turbo even with a ton of suitable E shells available. *shrug* In the end it's always up to the crab.

An E in a magpie?

Wow! That is strange. In November, I adopted a PP in a magpie, in just days she changed into a turbo. Her exo was really dry, and she wasn't being offered very many shells, I don't think. She's been looking great since her introductory bath tho! Come to think of it, she must be dug down...I haven't seen her in a while.
Sorry to ramble...

Can't wait to see the pics!

I have an E in a turbo as well, even though he had plenty of other shells to choose from
