HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Lovesmokey and I were in Petco today just getting some supplies and I had no intention of getting any new crabs because I was still too sadened by my most recent PPS losses. I was talking with a new employee about the PPs and he asked me if I had seen the strawberry crabs. To which I replied I have several already, but he opened the tank as we were talking and there was a lovely meduim in the tank who looked pretty healthy.

I was telling him I had limited room in my tank and that I didn't want any more meduims because I was saving room for Ruggies (went into an explanation of that species).

I had turned my attention back to several other employees who had just taken a Petco class on hermit crabs when Lovesmokey exclaimed that there was a shell stuck halfway up the tank, and of course we knew there had to be another stawbaby in it. It was tiny. This did catch my attention, because I did have room for one little staw, especially since guys this little were so hard to find.

Long story short, Ashley came home with us. She's just bigger than a teeny, but she is a small on the sizing chart.

You know in crab keeping it's bad to overcroud. Don't you want those ruggies when we find them?

At least I gave you the credit for finding Ashley. Plus I let you name her after some TV star you won't even like in three months.

Oh, and those empolyees loved hearing crabby care from me. They were hanging on my every word.

Wonderful!!! Toooo cute! I'd love to have some straws that small. I could handle that. The ones I've seen here have all just been HUGE.

I'm JEALOUS!!! Everyone can find straws but me. -pouts- I really want a straw, but all they have around me are Es and large PPs.

BAB, I'm in the same boat. The only straws we have are softball size. I didn't think such little ones even existed!

I would live for a baby straw! I would kiss it, and love it, and feed it, and bathe it, and hug it, and pet it, and.....

P.S.- I love Ashley Tisdale! I admit, I am an adult and am addicted to the Disney Channel. Good clean fun and no product commercials!

I love the Disney channel too, good programing, especially for families. After 8:00 I don't even feel comfortable with Alanna watching regular network TV, what happened to family TV? At least Disney's got it.

You may have noticed my other two straws are named Zack and Cody, from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody on Disney.

I love their sitcoms and their tv movies. I just bought Aly and AJ's new cd. It's very good.

Sometimes, when they have contests, I get bummed that I'm too old to enter! I think it would be awesome to meet some of those actors!

I think the Disney Channel does an excellent job empowering kids to do great things. I love "Check this Kid Out!"

P.S. My favorite cartoon is Jojo's Circus. I love her voice!
