I have painted cholla branches. My mom thinks the paint is non-toxic because it comes off easily. Shoudl i give it to my hermit crabs or not?

for the same reason you wouldnt give hermit crabs painted shells i say no. see if you can remove the paint from the cholla by boiling it.

take an exacto knife and try to peel off as much as you can. If you can't get all of it off, I wouldn't give it to them..

I don't think I'll be giving it to them because the paint is on the indside, and I tried to peel it off with scissors, and nto all of it came off.

I would have to agree to not give it to them. Simply b/c my crabbies eat the cholla & to get to parts of it, they would be ingesting the paint.
