How long is too long to be dug under?

I haven't seen several of my guys in about three weeks. They range in size from teeny to medium. Being a bit paranoid, how long is ok for them to be down? I've been up all night for the last several nights because of everything that's been going on with my Dad, so I know that they haven't been out. Main reason I'm asking is that some of the EE is starting to get a bit dry- on the side with the UTH. I want to add water, but I don't want to accidentally dig up molters. Thanks all.

3 months is when I dig. Ive had small hermies take 3 months...they go down, hoohaa around and then they molt, and hoohaa some more and it takes 3 months. *rolls eyes*

Can you mist your EE? Maybe dribble some water on it...I do that with my sand sometimes if I can see that its getting dry.

yeah

Yeah i have crabs ranging from ant sized to jumbo and i am with narnar on the time. My patience level is somwhere between 11-12 weeks and then i get worried and dig since you should do a Deep clean every 3-4 months anyways. And i just bought a little thicker spray watering mister and i misted my EE regularily with water that way they are all ok.

Ok. I'll mist it and if that doesn't cut it I'll dribble water on it. I'm used to dealing with sand. So the EE is a new experience. They seem to love it though.

I have EE too and it does get pretty dry over the UTH but in most other places stays moist, if it is deep enough. I just mist over it as well. My crabs do not like playsand so I feel like I have to use EE but I like it alot more than sand so it works out for us.
