Dumb Question about Water

I've always wondered how hermit crabs drink. Do they have to lean down and put their mouth in the water or do they dip their claw in the water and then "lick" it off?

Mine does both, but usually puts his mouth parts in the water.

ive never seen them drinking, i assumed that they scooped it up in there claw or something.

Most of my crabs scoop up the water with their claw, although I have seen my Ecuadorian using her mouth parts.

mine do 1 of three things

drink with there claw
swiping motion with there mouth parts
or dive into the deeper end of the pool
