My smalled PP babydoll is trying to molt, I think, she was looking around for a shell today so I thought she may change but she didnt. I was wondering if you think you have a crab that is try to molt can you put them in ISO to see? Then how do you know if they are going to molt then?

Well if you know for sure it's molting then you can. Here are some pre-molting tips to help you out:Less activity, less antenna activity, drinking and eating more than usual, and t=sometimes there's a little black spot just before their abdomen. Hope this helps!

Crabs will change shells before a molt or after a molt or sometimes just because they find one that fits better and some change all the time. Other things to look for when a crab may want to molt soon is lots of digging, eating a lot and drinking a lot and then all of a sudden they have a big decrease in appetite, exo starts looking dull. But only your crabby knows for sure. Personally I wouldn't iso, I think it stresses them out, I let mine molt in the main tank. Not sure how many crabs you have but if you have 4, for example, then you would need that many iso's! I have 12 and I have no room or money for that many spare tanks mine go in iso only if there is a problem-another crab dug a molter up or there was a fight and someone is injured. I have a 5.5 gal for iso that is up and ready to go at a moments notice but that's it.
