HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Ok well he isn't weird but I'm not sure what he is doing. He at first was on his first shell. Then switched into bigger one that fit him better. Then immediately buried himself and was under the sand for a week and a half or so.. Then I had to move so I put the tank on the seat of my car to bring to new house. And it was a little sideways instead of flat and a bit off saltwater spilt over lol. Anyway they all seemed to like the ride haha. Later that night though I noticed my big one came out from being hurried and switched shells again into an even bigger one and finally a unpainted shell lol. I went back an hour later though and he was buried again in his same spot. I thought he was molting for a while but now I just think he liked being buried maybe haha? This normal?

Haha they love doing it! I got 2 new ones today, they just drop themselves into the coco fiber/ sand and lights out! If they are there for a long while, it could be early molting stages!
