Has anyone used these in their crabitat?

I know they are safe, but wonder how they hold up to crab abuse.

They may mold. I've had a lot of trouble with straw and hay and corn husk based items turning moldy really quickly.

Well, for $2 I will try them. Maybe a quick dip in salt water will ***** mold growth.

I use them, but don't leave them in twists. I cut bits off.
