Repticare Terraium Controller Questions ???

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone on here is familiar with this product.
My specific question about it is if the timer actually moves like a traditional timer or if it is supposed to remain stationary at the time you set it to.
Mine doesn't move and I'm wondering if it is faulty or not, the switch is set to "timer" and when you flip the switch to "outlet", all 8 outlets work.
