Side by side tanks?

Post by ROSIEonFIRE » Tue Jul 09, 2019 2:05 am

Hi all! I've been toying with the idea of adding a second tank to my set up and somehow connecting it to my current tat. Anyone have any ideas of how I can do this? Do u guys know of anyone who has?

I know curls did. She made a plexiglass tunnel. Naalide has done similar, connecting their DIY enclosures using what I believe is plywood sealed with epoxy with a plexiglass front. (Another crabber did similar to naalide, connecting two exo terra together by cutting holes in the lids...)

People on the webs have connected tanks by using fish tanks flipped upside down on each one - one person has even used a small exoterra to connect to tanks.

When I had my tote setups, I connected mine using irrigation hose (the solid black ribbed kind). It works rather well, crabs enjoyed using it and would often hear them moving from one setup to another... the only issue I had was that it was a 2 inch pipe, and my larger crabs had to squeeze into their which made traffic very much one way.... they had no issue with squeezing in the hose though, dunno how they didnt get stuck.

I saw someone connect totes with the colorful clear hamster tubes! I dont remember if it was here or on Google. They had moss in it
