The back wall

Post by Wlfwo » Wed Oct 09, 2024 6:28 pm

Okay I have got the back wall up and where I think I want it. I am holding it in place with tension rods. I'm going to cover those with coconut mat. I'll just make a tube and wrap it around and zip tie it. I did look at the ones for reptiles but they wouldn't fit my tank plus I got two of these for less than $10 and I already had the coconut mat.

The substrate is going to come up to the bottom of the heater which will make it approximately 9", which should do him for quite a while.
Has anybody had any experience with the corner shower caddy things? Does the suction cups hold well?Image

Looking good so far!
I have never in my 14+ years of having hermit crabs been able to get any suction cups to work inside the tank. Sigh.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of cuz so far I've not been able to get the smaller ones to work I was just hoping the really big ones would. Yeah well, I guess I could just set it down in the corner on the sand if it falls off. When it falls off.

Well there is the first 50 lb of sand and echo Earth, the humidifier runs three points short. It's only been in there about I don't know 25 minutes and I made the echo Earth last night so the sand ended up being a little cold, it's going to take a while to warm up. Tomorrow's will be warmer and I'm hoping that will help what's the temperature.

What I would recommend is zip-tying the caddy dish to the eggcrate. Pretty much guaranteed not to move
