I'm not annoyed at all. I was just heading out so kept my response short. Sorry if that came off as being annoyed...
I'm pretty sure it's all coconut fiber but ck is right, I don't have any proof. Labels for pet products are not regulated by the government so even if they say 100% coconut fiber, there's nothing to stop them from omitting certain facts or outright lying. Based on what I've seen, the three products seem identical. Pine or other coniferous wood would cause some variation in color not to mention sap. I have detected nothing of the sort between the three labels. That said, I've stopped using Bed-a-Beast just for cost and quality reasons. As I mentioned before, the BaB bricks I've used before seemed to be less "smooth" in texture.

If you are worried about mold when using these products, just use salt water when mixing it up and when it gets dry (use the same type of salt water you mix up for the water dishes). When I first started using FB, I had a real problem with mold, since I started using the salt water, no problems at all (my 30 gal is half FB and half sand).

I don't think anyone is annoyed. Just trying to explain as best as possible and thanks for asking the ?s. I'm learning from them. BTW I'm 25 and new at this so you've taught me soon too. No biggie.
I'm using play yard sand right now, but was thinking of doing the same stuff they had at PetCo said it was made from Coconut and good for them if they ate it. Is it better for them really or was she feeding me a line??
