small baskets

Has anyone tried using baskets in their tank? I thought maybe unfinished wicker baskets would be good for climbing. Also there are many shapes and sizes available.

I have a 20 gal tank and would love to add a second level. Thanks to all the diy message boards I have read many great ideas.

Just watch for mold. A lot of woods mold quickly in that environment.

I didn't think of that. Thanks.

On a similar note, I saw some plastic pastics that look like the old geen baskets that strawberies came in. I might try those.

I think I used to use these tiny baskets that shells came in a long time ago, but the shells I get aren't in them anymore.

Try the dollar store - I got some small baskets there and filled one with substrate - Buddha molted in that and the other 2 I cut doors in and they love hiding under them and I can still sneak a peak. Oh and they are plastic - very easy to clean!

the caddy's cost about ten cents more at target than at walmart. personally, I like target better, but even though I hate walmart I have to go there sometimes.....
