I do not recommend frogs... I had White's Tree Frogs and they are so messy... and then you will need to feed them crickets which will fall in the water and drown and gunk up your filter and water... I'd either have nothing or maybe try a few feeder guppies those guys are pretty hardy and the ones my mom keeps seem to survive her regular full tank (2.5 gallons) water changes... but keep in mind if the fish get sick you won't be able to treat them and your hermits will have to drink the water the fish poop in.

Welp, I water-tested the silicone, and there is a very slow leak in a corner, so I applied another layer of silicone all around, and I'm waiting for that to cure, so I guess tomorrow night I will test it again
A few water lillies might work, add an extra fung-sway (or whatever
) touch to the tank. I am already planning on having the water cascade down over rocks, to have it be a little bit of a serene, peacefull environment. I'm debating whether or not to allow the crabs to have access to the rock pools or not, afraid that they might snap a leg or something.. But the splashing/falling of water should spike my humidity like woah
lol.. No more issues there.

Sounds interesting. Bf and I actually have a plan similar to this for my 80 gallon, unfortunately the apartment isnt big enough to have the massive tank in it.
Anywho, my suggestion...I used gravel on my pool ramps, but over time the ware and tare of the crabs going into and out of the filtered pools started plucking them out of the silicon. So dont be surprised if this starts happening to your shells in a few months. Now I have have siliconed in "gutter guard", its a durable plasticy mesh and works fabulous and provides even my bittyiest crab enough to grab onto to climb up and down the 40 degree angle pool ramps.
you can find it at Lowes or Home Depot for cheap.
Also watchout for water splatter.....a little splatter can turn into quite a bit of stagnant water in the substrate after a while
I learned that with my fogger.
EDIT: in the aquarium area of PetCo and PetSmart there are plants that are specifically for aquariums that are fairly cheap. There are also "BettaBulbs" that grow fabulously. I think some of the water lilies would get too big for the tank pools, perhaps something more leafy and smaller to submerge would work better? Youcould also go with some Mangrove. They grow VERY well in both of my hermie ponds. I got mine on Ebay for pretty cheap and the hermies LOVE to eat and climb all over them
