Fluker's Digital Thermometer and Humidity Gauge

Post by Kilimanjaro » Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:39 am

* * * * * > That's the 5-stars I'm giving this product. :D

I just have to say that I love mine... at first, I was pretty mad because it costed me $20, and I found a regular thermometer/humidity gauge at Wal*Mart for $6. :lol:

Now, I couldn't like the product more. It recognizes change in humidity instantly and it's never failed to be dead on with temperature or humidity. :) I did the salt test, and it was exactly on in five minutes time. :D

If you are tired of putting your trust into analog (both of my old analogs were off by 10 units!), I would suggest this product.

The only down side is that it can't be calibrated, so you'd have to do all of the math in your head if it does misfunction. :|

Oh, it is also great because it records highs and lows... you can see if the tank is getting too cold! :D

I bought one of these about a year ago, for my tortoise. I really don't use it, as I have another one for his terrarium. I am currently using it in my 'tat now. I really hope it's accurate, because I shelled out over 20 dollars for it. :lol:

Yeah, I was worried about mine being accurate so I put it next to the digital and analog thermometers we have in the house. It read exactly what they both had, and to the tenth decimal place. :lol:

And as stated before, I've never done the salt test with any of my gauges except this one, and it was surprisingly really easy to do. :)
