Fish net

Post by Karbon » Fri Mar 12, 2010 10:09 pm

I just purchased a bag of used fish net sold at micheals and I was wondering if it's the safe kind.

And if anyone knows can mod podge be used with crabs.

You might want to give it a boil to clean it and sanitize it first, but yeah, I've got the same netting in use in my tank. It might smell a bit odd when moist, but the crabs love to climb around and hang out on it!

ModPodge cleans up with water, so I am not sure if it would hold up in a humid environment.
I have used aquarium sealant to repair a large broken piece of decoration and it is holding very well. You might try it for whatever it is you are making.

That's the kind of net I use. Because they can sometimes be really filthy when you first get them, I run them through the washing machine with hot water and no soap.
