I should of mentioned that *facepalm* yes, I taped down a rectangle to start, then I tied all the vertical strings into the rectangle, then I did the loop and ties with the horizontal strings

I was just thinking about looking up how to do this tonight to make tomorrow. I need a net so bad in my cage and I really don't want to buy one from a craft store as I don't know what dyes are used.

I like making my own alot because you can decide exactly what shape and size you need, and it's only a couple bucks for a roll of hemp :D

Did you make the bridge the same way you made the net?

Thanks. How long did it take you to make them both. I'm pretty new to macromae so its kinda time consuming for me. I'm going to keep at it though

It's nothing fancy, not macramé or croquet or anything, just repeated knots :P my net was about a square foot, so it took about half an hour to 45 minutes ish :)

Right now its against the wall, I made it a tad too big for my tank and it was getting in the way :P But I'll be transferring it to the new tank soon.

I'm not really sure :? I've never used cotton to make a net before. If you want to give a shot by all means go! :D just let us know how it works out!
