DIY second levels + nets
DIY second levels + nets
Hello! Recently built some really awesome second levels with suction cups and plastic containers! I am so happy with the outcome, and they are very strong and sturdy. I am also looking for some DIY nets to make....suggestions?
Re: DIY second levels + nets
Do you have any pics of the second levels, I'm trying to design one now and could use some ideas. Hope your crabs are enjoying and exploring their new space!

If you're near a Hobby Lobby or Michaels, both carry fish nets (about 3'x5') for $6. These are genuine used fish nets, are therefore smelly and have a bit of debris on them so a good boil is in order. I crocheted a small climbing net but love the large fish net as it can be cut into pieces to drape (creating a means to a second level) or attach around the back of the tank. My PPs all love it and someone's always hanging on it somewhere in the tank

For future reference, it's easier to just run the fish nets through you washing machine on hot with no soap to get them clean. That usually does the trick, although I once ran them through on hot with bleach then just plain hot water and then I let them completely dry.Crabinski wrote:If you're near a Hobby Lobby or Michaels, both carry fish nets (about 3'x5') for $6.
