Hey everyone!! So sorry I haven't posted in so long. But I thought I would let y'all know how the tank came along. Still some things I want to add (2nd level type stuff) that I will do eventually when I figure out exactly what I want and how I want to do it. But right now I'm pretty happy and I think my hermies are too

Image

So I did end up getting the reptile cave and the hermies seem to love it! They climb all over it and go inside it. They seems to enjoy the vine I have added as well.. Image
The pools are just plastic containers front eh dollar store. They will go you to the edge of both and occasionally a bit of a way onto the "ladders" but never fully in, or even mostly in.???
I just recently moved the moss pit upward in a container when I got the vine. It was next to the pools but they kept kicking the moss into the pools when they dug down a bit Image
I have a climbing wall they seems to really enjoy also.
I know we must be doing something right because they are all very active and happy like. Even one who would never come out for anything, so much so we named him "Bashful", is out about a lot now. Image
Here are some more photos.
The first one is Bashful on the climbing wall.

Sunny at the saltwater.

Let me know what y'all think!
And if y'all have any tip/ideas for the future 2nd level or "ladder" situation ect...
Also if y'all have any questions!
Thanks y'all!! Happy crabbing!!

Hi Laura,Love your tank.I do not post much but wanted to let you know I spotted something. The alum foil that insulates the ultratherms only goes on the back/outside of ultratherm not against glass. You do not want anything blocking the heat from the glass and it heating into the tank.
I hope some else will come on and back me up.Good job with the tank and good luck with your crabbies.

Hey Iblab crab :)

The foil is definitely not inside the tank lol. Its on the outside of the tank wrapped around the back. The UTH is between the tank glass and the foil.
hope that eases your worry :)

*Note: If you look at the photo I posted of "sunny at the saltwater" you can see in the background the black is the UTH and the foil behind/around it.
I can see how from the first photo it looks to be on the inside haha.

I did not think the foil was inside,I thought it looked to be against the glass on the outside.Meaning glass then outside foil then heater on top of foil.I am sorry if I misunderstand or not explaining properly.

I must be blind because I see it now at the bottom.Sorry I thought the black was something else.
ugh!

Hahh! I thought the dark thing( that was actually the mat) was a hiddie and solid because it looks like the basket is sitting on top of it.Optical illusion.

Love that tank. Looks awesome. I'm sure they'll be swimming laps in those pools eventually

Thanks Dan :)
I really hope so. Idk if they like the canvas ladder the way I have it too much. But I just found something else that might be a good ladder, so I'm going to try it and see! :)
