Support kitchen organizer??
Hey everyone, quick question. Doing a lot to my crank tat today and I have kitchen shelf organizer. The description said the legs were 10" but, of course, they are not they are more about 6" so I want/need something to support the legs of the organizer in the sand so it doesn't just slowly sink into to substrate. Any suggestions? Would be really helpful if it was typical things around the house since we are trying to get this revamp/reorganize done today. Thanks!

Re: Support kitchen organizer??
I had this happen recently to support the bottom level where I have a similar situation going on. To counter it I utilized a piece of plastic canvas like I use for my ramps, wider than the shelf, so that the legs rest on the canvas, covered it with a bit of sub to mask it a bit, and left it in place. This enabled the legs to resist being pushed down into the sub as they have a support that is held up with sub. Also, the crabs have a bit of a shelf that stays in place if they dig below it. Thus far I've had no issues and it has served as a nice way to keep the shelf from sinking in at all.
Plastic canvas can be purchased cheaply at many craft stores and even wal-marts:

Just get a sheet bigger than what you're trying to support, that way the legs rest on it and use the resistance of the sub to keep standing!
Hope this helps.
edit: You could probably get away with using a bit of a placemat or something if you have an thin plastic one that you aren't using if you need something immediate.

I ended up not needing support though funny enough. I had covered the kitchen organizer with Great Stuff and because I covered the legs of it also, it now has wide legs and doesn't sink into the substrate.. So yay me! Haha
