Alright, I've purchased some reflectix insulation, those who have used this before... how or do I use my heaters with this stuff? Would the heated damage the insulation? How do you mount the heater and insulation where both can still be checked on but both are effective?

I bought reflectix tape to mount it. You can also use duct tape or packaging tape. cut to size. If zoomed heaters, don't insulate over the top of them. If ultratherm, you go over the top of them no problems!

I second Aussie JJ. Lots of epoxy to make it humidity proof- but it would be very cool to see it finished. :)

Reflectix, 2 Thermo Pro digital temp/humidity monitors, Flukers exotic purple leafed reptile vines, crack filler to make rock formations and some heavy duty galvanized wire mesh to help make a false bottom as well as some climbing structures and some threaded hooks to hold moveable play stuffs for variety.

Holy schmoley! These Ultratherm are big. Pictured here laying beside my legs. I'm 5,9".... I'm attempting to document this whole process so bare with me on these supply posts. I believe I have enough materials to start!

Hmm my interwebs are acting strange. If no images appear, I'll try again later.

Gah. I'm almost jelly until I think about how much work it would be. I'm eager to upgrade soon, even though I've only had the 55 for a year. Sweet tat's btw. :D But you definitely have some good stuff to make a tat with so far! I'm super excited for you.

I do need to measure..... it'll be neat to calculate the gallons. That'll be the next step.

Thank you!! Yeah, the work is daunting sometimes because I'm not sure exactly what to do. But this forum has helped tremendously!
