Very nice tat you put alot of time and effort into it. I can understand the second guessing because hindsight is 20/20....but I can't see anything that needs to be changed. Job excellently done!!! :D

Once I finish the 55 we have I'll be posting some pics it is no where NEAR the level of your tat. Yours is a true "Habitat" the 55 we are doing is an attempt at one. Ours will be a nice first try at a Tat.

We have an empty 55 gal that was a fish tank long ago (it leaked) and has been sitting empty and dry ( for like 8 years ) I might use it as a test unit for the Foam and epoxy things you did. I would like to try to shave and sculpt the foam into something that looks like rocks after it is dry. Guess I will be heading to the Hardware store to look at foam and epoxy products.

Once again you did a awesome job and should be proud of yourself!! Now kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labor :D

thank you and your very kind. i know the crabbies love it, but I am still wanting to move some things around and I haven't gotten around to it..maybe Iwill do it some time. I do like how it looks, but it is just crowded looking. I don't think the crabs mind.

The problem so far is some of my crabs are pulling the EE off areas of the wall...not too noticeable yet =)

Well...I went to the hardware store and looked at the foam  Sheesh......so many different types!! So now I must ask if you could be so kind as to direct me to the type you used  ?

If possible I would like to know about the Epoxy also...I saw some but it looked like bonding agents (glue) so I was confused on that. that is where I came up with the idea that I could cover the foam with Aquarium sealant and then lay play sand over the sealant and get a real neat texture since the store said they could special order a caulking gun sized tube of sealant :hlol: as they looked at me like I was crazy

I used the great stuff window and door expanding foam....it doesn't expand as much as the BIG GAP expanding foam, but both will work fine.

As for the epoxy, I ordered west side epoxy online...I also heard the east side epoxy was safe and alittle cheaper. It is a clear, thick liquid...actually there is the epoxy and the hardener you have to mix 5:1 ratio and then paint it on..it is pretty sticky and thick... and you can get different drying times.
