Diy hide, progress pics!

Post by grandlinegirl » Mon Dec 29, 2014 2:35 pm

I started my build. I think it'll be awesome once finished. Already used a whole tube of aquarium silicone. Gonna have to get a few more tubes!

I hope they'll have a blast climbing all over it! I'm going to surround it with plants and make it a crab jungle gym lol

haha, that does sound like a hermie paradise! Plus that amount of room on the top, it will make a good shell shop too.

I bought them a nice big wicker basket as a shell shop. Maybe I can incorporate it somehow.... hm.

Or a nice food bowl area... Helps keep most of their messes in one place... :)

Ah, good plan! I found this... thought I might make a big platform to put their food on. I'm sick of sand in the food! lol

haha, your way a head of me! You may notice that cleaning time is a breeze, especially when you're changing their food bowl... I don't know if this happens to you, but when i take out the bowl a whole bunch of sand follows, emptying out all over my clean floor!
