I'm gonna keep a picture progress thread as I get this giant put together. Wil be updating as I go!
Pic 1.
Took me 2 days to clean this sucker out. The gravel in there took up 5 garbage bags and I had to scoop it out with a small kids shovel while standing on a ladder. This beast is going to be a lot of work!

Oh my gosh! That tank looks big enough to climb in and hangout with your crabs!

On the left hand side you can see a tape mark. That's where I'm planning to have the sand come to... Mostly so that I can actually reach in there and fix stuff when I need to! I already ordered 15 bags of sand, though I know that's not going to come anywhere close to filling it >.>

We pay about that price for 50lbs. Cheap enough

EE is way more expensive! And the coverage differs

15 bags is perfect, I only used 10 at first for my 150 and I just added 2 more to get 10in.

Finally started getting the sand in. I've gone 2 40lb bags and I'm dying already! haha. I only own a small bucket and I have to do each bag in 3 batches. Nothing works as good to mix it as my hands and they're killing me already!!
Question - to keep the sand moist, should I saran wrap the top of the tank? It's going to take me a few days to get all 15 bags in between school and work, and I'm doing it all myself.

Tell your friends you are having a SUB party, pick up some subs and feed them then put them to work
