I picked mine up at an asian grocery store. There's usually an aisle or two that have stuff like woks and bamboo steamers. There should be mortar & pestles hanging around. You can also order one from Amazon and get it shipped prime

I've dropped it a dozen times and used it to powder some really ridiculous things without a scratch on it. ... May have broken a dish or two with it over the years while washing it in the sink.

Okay, so I was just reading this topic because it seemed interesting and useful, but YYWW, you better not turn off your signature! I love reading your posts, and seeing "Crabbers unite!!!" at the end. It makes me happy, thinking about this awesome community online, and how all of us crabbers have our great stories to share, and trying to help out each other, you should definitely keep it!

Dried Crickets. Live waxworms. Crushed coral. When Sunshine had no legs, anything that went to my normal crabs went to her, but it got pounded out first.
Doing whole peppercorns and coriander seeds (for our cooking!) are the worst. I nearly put my eye out once! It really should come with a safety glasses warning.

LIVE waxworms!! O my! Sounds like quite a scene.. But ah, the legendary sunshine experience. What a great endorsement. We should put that set in the Amazon store!

Anytime! I'm glad I could convince you to keep it, because I do really like it! I just need to come up with a good signature for myself, one that I really like. I'm going to start brainstorming!

I have a massive white marble one I got through Avon for around $15. I still have half of my first one (small white marble) that I got at a flea market when I was like 12 for about $5. Unfortunately the pestle got lost between moves
