Time to refinish the canopy.

Anyone who followed my thread last fall when I refinished my tank stand knows how labor intensive it was. Now that the weather is decent it's time to finish up the job and do the canopy. I am NOT looking forward to this but hopefully it will go quickly compared to the stand. No cabinet doors! Lol just the big hinged door without the detail work. Wish me luck...I don't think I will ever do any sort of project like this. EVER. Lol. Now if I can just get motivated enough to get out of my big comfortable and warm chair...

3 6ft long pieces and 2 end pieces should not take this long! almost done with the second long piece. That is my goal for the day. Another day of sanding left.

I wonder how long it will take to stain it all.

At least you aren't sanding off lacquer and stain. It gums up the sand paper. Ick.

I woke up with a terrible migraine but today is the only day for at least a week that temps here will be under 80. I am very sensitive to the hot and cold especially with the meds I take for my seizures. I basically have no choice but to try to get the sanding done today. Guess I'll start with charging the battery (it isn't dead yet) and wait for my headache meds to kick in.

I was very pleasantly surprised this morning. Rand my new guy was happily sitting in a corkround just relaxing. I am so happy I got him. He deserves a good home.

Hope you feel better soon! My fiance has chronic back pain, that fluctuates with the pressure, not fun.

Thanks. I do everything here. Mow the grass, clean...migraines or not. Toss the seizures in and I'm a big ball of fun. My husband also has chronic back pain. He has fractures in his spine. He tries to help but it is just easier for me to do it. I finished the sanding! Once I get the chance to pick up more stain I will be on to the next part.

Yeah, I'm usually doing everything, but we live in an apartment. She has degenerative discs, already had one surgery to fuse two discs.
I hope your migraine lessens, if it hasn't already. Awesome the sanding is done though!

Aw. I'm sorry her back is so screwed up.

Back pain is the worst. He had the fusion in 2009 in his neck. Nothing they can do for his back where the breaks are. He just stays miserable even when taking morphine around the clock. We are waiting to come across a genie or fairy to just wish him better since modern medicine can't do anything more.

Right now I am waiting for my head to stop so I can make dinner. I just remembered that I haven't eaten since 8.
