Okay so I just got a 40 gallon tall in a trade but the bottom has a crack.
Would putting aquarium grade silicone sealant across the bottom and placing a piece of plexiglass over it be a safe enough fix for le crebz?

Going to bump this because I don't know if anyone saw it or not. I am pretty sure that it would be okay to silicone a piece of plexiglass across the bottom of the tank but just wanted to make 100% sure before I do it.

I saw it, and I am curious too, not that I need the info right now, just would be good to know for sure. I would just wonder whether if the plexiglass would try to warp when siliconed in the way it does when it sits on top of an aquarium?

I also had seen your post but don't have an answer. I did a forum search and found Wodesorel answered a similar question here:
viewtopic.php?p=897940#p897940. Don't know how much that helps. Sorry I'm not more help.

Is it on a stand?

No stand; it's not even in my house yet, I bartered a jackstand for it, lol. It has one crack across the bottom. When I get it home it will more than likely be placed on top of a solid wood end table if it fits.
