I just ordered a peice of 24" Grapewood vine from 'Blooms and Branches". I didn't notice until after I ordered my product and went back to review the item that I ordered, that there is a warning that the vines are grown along wire and so some wire could be imbeded in the wood. Do you think it will be safe to use??
I'm also thinking of buying some 'Shell Fishing Net' from Micheals online store. I couldn't figure out in the description if it had been decorated to look old or if it was natural?
What are your opinions on these products? Do you think they will work for my hermit crabs??

I use michals shells all the time i love them and my crabs do too. As for the grapewood i cant help you.

The grapewood should be fine - I personally wouldn't worry about a little bit of wire buried inside. It's most likely iron which is harmless.
The netting is used trawling net. It's filthy with ocean sludge! Run it through the washer (a trick I learned from sugarselections) with no soap to get it clean without killing yourself.
