What do you think of this for use in a tank?

I really like how it looks. I'm going for a natural woodsy look in my crabitat. It would make an awesome moss pit if it won't hurt the crabs. It's made of polyurethane. If it wouldn't be safe right out of the box, might it be all right after a few months? What do you think?

It's so hard to say if the paint is going top be toxic to them. Personally, if something isn't fish safe I don't take the risk. If it was covered in 2-part epoxy to seal it for sure it would be okay after the fumes cleared.
