Hello all. Image
I have started crabbing in June. After many mistakes I have figured it out. With the help of every one here. I love reading every thing on here.
I want to brag about my new tank and newly remodeled tank. I have 3 pp. Harry, pokie, and turbo. They are currently in a 10 gallon tank. ImageImage

I just added the shell shop from ideas on here. My crabbies love their bridge. I have it attached with suction cups. I'm not sure if I'm going to move it to my big tank (40 gallon) or not. I hit the dollar tree today. And found lots of neat stuff. They had a mixed lot of shells. Tupperware. Twine. Fake flowers and so on.

With the twine I am making a net. Image

I've decided to line the back of my tank with " monkey grass ". I have frozen potting soil so that I know that I have some thing bug free. ( I hope) I put it in there for little more than 78 hours. I wanted to try for a week. But I'm too excited to start planning it. Im using some up cycled dominos boxes that where nor contaminated with food (they had cookie brownies and sandwiched in themImage )

This grass is pretty hard to kill. I'm going to use the double tub method for my fresh water fountain.

This is the only things i have figured out where to place. I still want a shell shop, moss pit. Wall net. 2nd level? More rope bridges. I'm not sure.

What does your tank look like?? What special treats so your crabs love? Mine love dehydrated beet's.

I hope I can find a space to plant some oyster mushrooms. Maybe in a coffee can hanging?

What do you wonderful people use as a water filter? I am thinking I want to make my salt water bowl add much like a tide pool as possible. For my fresh water I have been growing algae in it. I wonder if this kind can work in my salt pond?

They love to eat it.

Yeah. In my current 10 it is. I'm so close to getting my buddies in to my 40 gallon I can smell the humidity in the air. Image

Your right. I just don't want to pour more sand in the tank. BC I know how sensitive so I am taking that time to upgrade my 40 and 10 gallon iso. Image

The longer they have such little sub the more likely you are to have a surface molt. The stress from that can kill. Keep that in mind.

Also! Potting soil can have toxins in it and pesticides. EE is what most use as a "soil".

My tank is a mess right now. There is food dragged all over from last night and of course bowls full of sand right now since they get fed at night but here is my tank. Gotta fill my moss pit too. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

@kelly. How are you doing keeping you tank warm this year? My crabs have been fairing much better than me. I know it, but I always forget how heavy a 50lbs bag it's until you hurt.
