glue for projects/repairs?

so i made the other day, with dowels and natural hemp cord, a small sail ship mast i want to use for decoration in the tank and maybe even another way to climb up platforms, but even with the tons of cord i used i feel like it would be best to quickly dab a bit of glue on the knots to keep it from possibly unraveling over time.

thing is, is any glue safe to use around them? im worried about the fumes glue can give off, and if they get curious and try to eat it haha. would gorilla glue, a small amount of it in each spot, be ok to put in the tank with them? i figure if do glue it to give it a couple days to set right and get rid of fumes, but i dont know if thats good enough. also want to repair my spinner so that i can set it up for the little guys to walk on, plastic connection piece broke on it >.<. thoughts?

Hot glue and aquarium silicone are safe

You just have to let it dry and air out for several days before placing it back in the tank :)

Hot glue often doesn't last in the high heat and humidity. My go-tos are silicone and regular super glue. (Cyanoacrylate)
