Are you connecting the totes to make the home somehow? I'm still somewhat confused about it and I apologize. I'm pretty sleep deprived and I'm having a little trouble thinking and grasping basic things.Hermie escape artist wrote:Crabbies homehermiwormi wrote:What are these storage totes being used for?

Anyway, if you could help me understand a bit more, I'd appreciate it.

How deep are the drawers? Substrate has to be a minimum of 6" or 3x the height of your largest crab. Whichever is deeper.

Hi! I'm checking in to see how your project is going. How far have you gotten?

Re: My current trial and error
I'm a bit confused, I think.
The three shelf storage rack is the actual crabitat, where the substrate and everything else goes?
The smaller containers are for water dishes.
I'd like to see how you are connecting the storage racks into one crabitat. I'm not sure how you would hold in heat and humidity with those types or racks.
I would think a large tote, like you would store Christmas decorations or clothing in an attic would be a better option. They are larger in size similar to an aquarium and have locking lids too.
To answer work craft mesh question. Yes, once the mesh is zip tied to the containers they will be able to climb in and out of the water. That's a similar set up like we use for our tanks. It works for small and large crabs.
