Attaching corner guards help
I am in the process of changing to a bigger tank. While my crabs are still in their old tank, I would like to figure out how to attach corner guards to their new tank. I’ve read directions but I am a visual person. Does anyone have an easy step-by-step preferably with pictures to help me out? Thanks

Fleabag to the rescue!
I believe these are the corner guards you are referring to.
Fleabag drilled holes through both edges. That helps attach items like nets and wood.
We took some sandpaper to scuff up one side of the angle to help the silicone stick.we also had to trim little blobs of silicone from the upper corners of the tank.
Next we added aquarium silicone to the sanded edge of the angle.
We pressed the angle into place and allowed it to dry and made sure it was pressed firmly in place.
Allow the silicone to dry a minimum of 24 hours or as instructed on the tube.

What's the purpose of a corner guard? Is it to seal the tank?

Re: Attaching corner guards help
The corner guards help add a wider lip to the top of the tank. If you have a glass top that has a gap between the glass and tank the guards help close that open area. It should also help maintain a bit more heat, humidity and hopefully deter exploring crabs from leaving the tank. With adding holes in the angles it also gives you more places to attach ropes, vines, and other things.
