HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I currently have two water bowls in a ten gallon for two small hermits. I am looking for diy easy pools that are deep and use household items. If I can’t I will go out and get some if I can’t find anything at home I am also looking for a way for them to climb out any net recommendations that don’t take to long to get??? Any ideas

Are they able to climb up the ladders? You could possibly add some netting to keep the same natural feel but make it easier for the crabs to get in and out. But as one of the mods said before, the crabs could get tangled in the fish netting. Btw I’m talking about the old fishnets that fishermen would throw into water and then pull it back out.

You could maybe use some small plastic containers that are deeper and use mesh to get in and out? That’s what I’m going to do in my tank. You could also use silicone to stick rocks to the container to make it easier to get in and out

I made the mistake of getting ultra stiff mesh like an hour ago online. I don’t know any actual brands or anything,’but stores such as michaels could probably ship them. Make sure to get zip ties too

EDIT: any mesh should actually be fine as long as you have zip ties to connect and extremely good cutting skills
