I have been very unhappy with my 75g. When I redid it I was happy at the time I had one crab. Since then I have added four more to the tank. And boy do they destroy it

. Well I finally was able to add a terrarium to the top. I put it on last night so I could check humidity and temp in the upper part before crabs can get up there. I will be taking it back off to work on it. I am starting this thread now because I’m excited LOl. It will take time before it’s usable of course. I have some pieces of wood from my yard that are crab friendly that are pretty cool I will be adding as well.

Nice! I have been wanting to add a topper to my 75 for over a year now! I have been putting it off because I can't find the size terrarium I want used! I can't wait to see how you progress!
I know what you mean with not being happy after so long. We were in a hurry to decorate because we had a bloomin flood and needed to pull eight with 1-1/8 shell openings out. We only had a 10 gallon to keep them in so we didn't want to take longer than we had to!

I was reviewing posts in the group and I have been fascinated with curious_kitty build from 2010. I was wondering if anyone knows long term how the wood glue/ coco paste she coated the great stuff foam with held up ?! I am going to build some ledges and ramps and it seems like the perfect solution.

All I can find in her later posts was that she regretted using live plants and instead ended up replacing them all with fake. I'd go that route.

It would hold up well. Epoxy is basically liquid plastic, and once hardened forms a shell. Basically her background is one big plastic sheet.
If its still up and running, I imagine it still looks extremely similar to how it was first set up - minus the plants.

Well months later I am now starting on the topper LOL. I’m glad I waited too. It’s even better than I thought it would be. I’m still a ways from being done but have made some serious progress today
