How to know what type of wood is safe

So a while ago I got some driftwood from a beach and I brought it home to use in our crabitat. Not realizing that I need to pick a specific type of wood and they were scattered around the beach so no pieces of wood where by a specific tree so I have no way of knowing what type they are. Here is the photos, they are really nice so I really want to use themImage
If you would like to have better photos let me know

Still haven’t figured it out yet. I just don’t know if there is a reliable way

The long stick and two white pieces are hardwood, so they’re safe although I can’t get anymore specific than that.

The others are too rotted for me to tell.
