Hide ideas?

Post by Dad-One » Sun Nov 01, 2020 12:42 pm

We’ve got some old aquarium decor that has been in storage for awhile, a barrel reef type structure made of resin and a ceramic yellow submarine.

They were sterilized before being out in storage and will be sterilized again before use.

Can these be used in our crabitat?

If she doesn’t use them as hides, maybe she can climb them?

Yes they can be used in the crabitat. The only issue you may come across is the openings typically are pretty small, so once the crabs grow past a medium, most aquarium decor openings will not allow the crabs to go through.

I think she’s already too big for both of the items, so I’ll have to look for better things.

You can still use them, I forgot to add. But I simply prefer to use hides and decor the crabs can utilise to the fullest. These can be used as cute decor or climbing objects.

Likely will becoming a climbing object, knowing Crusty.

Next payday I’m headed to the hardware store to pick up some egg crate and random bits
and bobs to make hides and various things.
