Anyone try these as a way for your hermies to reach a 2nd level?

Just interested if anyone has any opinions on these as a easy way for a hermie to reach a 2nd level.

Might try one with a hammock or something along that line.

Wow, those actually seem like really good ideas! I just use a cargo net, and my hermies seem to be able to use that, but for bigger hermies, like med-large, I could definately see using one of those :) I think the one that doubles back on itself would be best, since it would take less space.

I am using a Turtle Dock. Had I seen the 1st product, the Ramp. I prolly would have gone for that. Looks like a really nice way to create a 2nd Level :) Or even a 3rd level.

If you wanted to use it as a second level, how could you make guide rails to prevent the hermies from falling off? Once someone made a post about his crabs continuosly jumping off a second level he/she put in their tank, noting that the crabs don't have any depth perception.

Lol, that was me actually :P

I replaced the nets with coconut fiber (the climbing walls, just trimmed as a bridge) And my hermies haven't fallen off that, and seem to like it a lot more :)

Can I make a second level out of Lego, and make a ramp out of lego or some other suitable material? I made a "playground" on a Lego board with high walls, and Salem (that's the crab's name) had no trouble walking (but I didn't finish my second level of it yet).

I almost got one of those also, but was afraid they'd walk off the edge and my instincts were right. My most active straw is crazy and falls off things.
I have this basking platform with netting covering the whole thing, even the steps. They go under it to get some shade also. There are 2 sizes, and both fit in a 10 gallon tank although the larger one is a bit snug with dishes, and shells.

I have this in my tank now. They seem to like it, but I have a way for them to get down if they are on the thrid level. That way, they do not just fall right of the edge.
