I have been considering buying one of these to regulate the temperature of the crabitat I plan on starting (I'm new at this, and want to make sure everything is right before I get any crabs). Has anyone had an experiences with or any opinions about this product?

Thank You.

We have one and it's a good investment, especially if you're having a hard time keeping your temps stable.

It has two "female" sockets for you to plug lights or under tank heaters into, and a sensor to put into your tank.

We use lights exclusively, so we plug our hood into it and the desk lamp we set on top at night with a moon light in it.

The biggest possible drawback to it is that its thermostat does not have degree markers, so it's a bit hit or miss there, you just have to mess with it until your thermometer reads correctly. However, that means it's not going to mislead you about the temp, there's no "but it says it's 75*, I don't NEED a thermometer".

It comes with sticky to stick the main unit to the outside of your tank (ours is stuck to the tank stand, actually), and it seems pretty decent. We got it in November, I think, and it's stayed stuck so far anyhow. We've done a fair bit of plugging and unplugging in that time, though mostly we just leave things plugged in.
