I like the zoomed Uth's. I have a 40 long tank and use a small one on the side of the tank and a even small one under the water pools to heat the water. I use lights to heat the tank moonglos in a clamp light.
Cant help with the fogger I dont use one.Whats the temp of your tank??

I would buy a UTH, I have a zoomed one and it works quite well. If you are afraid that the tank is much too cold, I would advise setting it in a window for a bit so it can get some sunlight. most of the heat my tank gets comes from being in a bay window. but in any event, you really need to purchase a temperature and humidity gauge, because both are important to ensure your tank stays in the 75-80 range for each.

I would say that getting gauges should be your #1 priority right now...without those you'll have no idea whether they are too cold or too hot.

totallyhermies: What size tank do you have and what do you use to keep your temps up in the winter? Since you live in the same part of OH as me I am wondering what you use since I need to get a winter heat set up on my tank by Fall... I have a 15 gallon. I am thinking about buying the 20 - 30 gallon UTH (even though I have a 15).
