Spare Legos? **Update with pics**

Post by Guest » Thu Oct 19, 2006 12:47 am

I built my hermies a couple three-walled huts out of Legos. Then I stacked the one house on top of the other, built a support leg out of more Legos, twisted a rubber vine in a spiral to the doorway of the second level, and then filled the huts with moss. For the top level, I cut a piece of that coconut fiber stuff into a rectangle and fitted it on for the roof.

If I ever get my hands on a digital camera, I'll post a pic.

That's an awesome idea! I've just got to find my old legos, now. I think a lego hut would be an awesome thing to do for whenever I make my second level. Yay for legos!

The cool thing about the big Legos is that you can use them with some of the smaller legos (I think the little ones have to be at least 4x4 to fit).

I fill both the top and bottom parts with moss.

EDIT: Forgot a pic. I made this with coconut fiber and rubber vine for the "stairway" to the second level.

I've tried making a crab hut and a second level with leggos, but my crabs seem completely uninterested. I even put them on/inside the leggos, and they crawl right away.

What're some of your guy's responce to the leggos? :|

Eventually, I hotglued them together. Just put a little hot glue into the inside of the lego (It's a lot easier with the four-dot Legos and larger).

Try putting some moss in the lego hut for softness. My tiny crabs seems to utilize the Lego huts the most. The small/medium ones crawl on top of them once in a while, but don't hang out inside.
